Constructing the List: How Did We Pick The Following Staples?

To construct this list, we carefully examined each card's potential impact on the game, considering their abilities, versatility, and overall playability. Whether you're a seasoned duelist or a newcomer, these handpicked cards have the potential to alter the course of your duels and shape the evolving meta.

Our team extensively analyzed the cards and their potential performance in various scenarios and matchups. The 10+1 cards presented here are the cream of the crop, each offering unique and potent strategies for your dueling endeavors.

The Tier-List: Best 10+1 Cards to Look For

1. Crimson Dragon

One of the most iconic monster’s of the anime in Yu-gi-oh! 5D’s era, Crimson Dragon’s effect is like an inverted Ultimaya Tzolkin for the game. Synchro pile decks have a new one-off card accommodating the extra deck.

Whilst it is not hard to summon each of the aforementioned cards, Crimson Dragon can turn the tables way easier than Ultimaya Tzolkin. Meanwhile, the nostalgia factor is playing a crucial role in the card’s popularity, Konami has finally released the card with its official name and will accommodate the game moving on due to its generic usefulness.

2. Visas Amritara

Visas Amritara is the new extra deck card for the Visas Starfrost decks making Mannadium a bit stronger with its effect. Adding a free spell/trap from your deck on summon, provides many options to the deck to respond to specific strategies of your opponent.

The extra attack power is also a nice add as in some matchups it may help reach the lethal damage you would want to finish off your opponent. A really good add to the set with the rest of Mannadium cards

3. Magicians of Bonds and Unity

Magicians of Bonds and Unity cannot be normal summoned/set but must be special summoned from your hand by having 25 or more cards in your GY.

While your opponent has 25 or more cards in their GY, this card gains 2500 ATK/DEF. This card is THE chase card of the set, as the only rarity of the card in the set is the Quarter Century Secret Rare. Gameplay wise, the card has nothing to offer at the moment and Konami will release more cards moving on as “Magicians of” to accommodate the theme.

4. Tokusano Shinkyojin

One of the most questionable cards of the set, Tokusano Shinkyojin allows you to send monster(s) from your hand and/or face-up field to the GY whose total levels equal 10, then draw 2 cards.

This potent draw engine can help you dig through your deck and access crucial resources, empowering your plays and increasing your chances of victory. The effect is not once per turn which gives great potential for future formats, specific decks and many ideas around theory crafting.

5. Unchained Soul Lord of Yama

The newest Unchained cards bring interesting choices to the format. While the main deck monsters, Unchained Soul of Sharvara and Unchained Soul of Shyama are really solid options for the Unchained package, the Unchained Soul Lord of Yama is a great generic option that can be splashable to a lot of decks.

Adding an Unchained monster from your deck, reviving one from the grave and destroying an opponent’s monster from the field is something really neat, a link-2 can do!

6. Fusion Armament

Reveal 1 fusion monster in your extra deck and special summon 1 of the fusion materials from your extra deck or GY whose name is mentioned on the name of the fusion monster you revealed.

Keep in mind that, until the end of your opponent's turn, the summoned monster cannot attack, and its effects are negated. Fusion monsters have a lot of cards to help them but Fusion Armanent does something, exclusively up until now, unique.

Having free big bodies from the Extra deck is something that can really help in specific situations. Whilst there can be high demand for this card specifically for its unique use, there is plenty of room for this card to see play in future formats.

7. Sinful Spoils of Subversion - Snake Eye

Sinful Spoils of Subversion - Snake Eye targets 1 face-up monster on the field and places it face-up in its owner's spell & trap zone as a continuous spell. With the ability to activate only one per turn, this card provides a disruptive tool to neutralize your opponent's key monsters and hinder their plays.

A spot removal which is a nice option to the current format but it will possibly see more play once the other “Snake Eye” cards will be released in future sets.

8. You’re Finished

If 10 or more cards and/or effects have been activated during this turn, You're Finished can be Special Summoned as an Effect Monster (Cyberse/DARK/Level 10/ATK 3000/DEF 3000) (this card is also still a Trap), but set it in your Spell & Trap Zone during your End Phase.

Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect while this card is in your Monster Zone (Quick Effect), you can destroy as many cards your opponent controls as possible, then Set this card in your Spell & Trap Zone. An interesting trap card which can accommodate many decks around the format!

9. Chimera Fusion

Chimera Fusion allows you to summon 1 fusion monster from your extra deck, using monsters from your hand or field as materials, including a beast of fiend monster. Moreover, if this card is in your GY and you have "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" on your field or in your GY, you can activate one of the following effects.

Either add Chimera Fusion to your hand or special summon "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" and "Berfomet" from your deck or GY. The Chimera package is pretty hyped with the release of Duelist Nexus both for it’s playability and it’s theme.Chimera Fusion specifically is the heart to run the engine of the Chimera package.

10. Crystal God Tistina

During your Main Phase, Crystal God Tistina can change as many monsters your opponent controls as possible to face-down Defense Position. Additionally, you can send all face-up cards your opponent controls to the GY.

If this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card, you can again change as many monsters your opponent controls as possible to face-down Defense Position and send all face-up cards they control to the GY. The Tistina archetype is a great archetype to obtain right now as it is both fun and will see future support in the upcoming sets and products!

11. Dark Corridor

Dark Corridor enables you to add 1 "Dark World" monster from your deck to your hand, then discard 1 card. Activate this card once per turn to cycle through your deck and access your desired "Dark World" monsters, fueling your GY and triggering their effects. Dark Corridor is a great add for the Dark World decks and everyone who loves the archetype!
